SMART on FHIR App Gallery
We can custom build standalone or EHR launch flow FHIR Apps based on your needs. If you have a specific FHIR project that requires an expert level of planning
and development, please reach out to us at info@prairiebyte.com so that we can discuss how we might be the resource for you.
What is SMART?
Substitutable Medical Apps, Reusable Technology (SMART) is an app platform for healthcare. The SMART platform is composed of open standards and open source tools for developers building apps. The project is run out of the not-for-profit institutions, Boston Children’s Hospital Computational Health Informatics Program and the Harvard Medical School Department of Biomedical Informatics.

What is FHIR?
Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is an emerging interoperability standard for electronic healthcare information.
It's an open standards framework created by HL7.org. The scope of FHIR includes all aspects of healthcare-related interoperability - clinical care,
administration, research, etc. FHIR leverages modern web-based communication technologies (HTTP, XML, JSON, etc.). It is mobile and web-friendly and provides built-in extensibility,
ability to query data and much more.

Patient Chart App
Patient Chart app allows users to view a person's medical record on a local device (laptop, tablet or mobile phone) using OAuth 2.0 or Basic Auth (for system account only) framework that enables the app to obtain access to the medical record from the FHIR server.
This app is beneficial for both physicians and patients who like to view a longitudinal patient record by retrieving data from multiple sources, such as EMR, HIE, etc. The app pulls Allergies, Conditions, Procedures, Immunizations, Medications, Family History, Vital Signs, Lab Results and Radiology Reports from the FHIR server and displays information within specific sections. This app allows sharing of data in a seamless, fast and secure manner unlike how data gets shared between physicians and their patients currently using fax or paper.
Growth Chart App
Growth Chart app has been designed and developed for parents and pediatricians. The app provides a visual view of a child’s growth, which allows for parents and pediatricians to understand growth data easily. The data on the chart is presented in metric units (kg, cm). This app utilizes two growth charts based on CDC recommendations:
In addition to growth chart information, child's immunizations can also be viewed, which makes it easier to track immunization history while reviewing a child’s growth over time.
